It would sound very clichéd to call Mumbai the New York of India, but that is what describes this city of dreams the best. It depicts the place that is always up and about, a city with a spirit of gold and a determination to never say die, even in the wake of terrorist attacks and natural calamities.Living in Mumbai is nothing less than a movie experience, the pace with which the city moves cannot be defined in words. There is something about the city, that attracts so many.Aamchi Mumbai is the popular lingo in the local language which is used by the Mumbaikars while referring to their hometown, Mumbai. I too am filled with pride to refer to this sumptuous city as my birthplace. Ancient yet modern, fabulously rich yet achingly poor.Description about Mumbai/Bombay can not be complete
without the mention of Bollywood,
the biggest Indian film industry which churns out hundreds of Hindi
block-busters every year.Mumbai has the highest number of
billionaires and millionaires among all cities in India.
More about this beautiful city in my next posts.Stay tuned.
