Street Food

Street Food in Mumbai is the best food to eat.You don’t need any food franchise to satisfy your taste buds.Slurp, bite, gulp, hoard. Your first cutting chai, your longest brain freeze, guiltiest desert, spiciest vada pav, and the messiest kathi roll.  Mind you,  we are still just on the outskirts. If you are in the mood to tantalize your taste buds, fall in love with Mumbai all over again, find your excuse to ditch that diet, or  are struggling to find what more does this city has on its menu- fellow foodie, you are at the right place!

Misal Pav at Vinay Health Home, Charni road - This is probably the single most famous place to have delicious Misal Pav.The place guarantees a delightful meal for your taste buds.

Mysore Masala Dosa near Sophia College - A complete diet in itself, Masala dosa is one of many popular breakfasts that Mumbaikars love. The crispy Mysore Masala Dosa of the Dosa center located on Bhulabai Desai road, right outside Sophia College is our favorite pick. You wouldn’t be disappointed with any item on their menu.
Kebabs at Sarvi,Mohammed Ali Road - It's been around for 90 years, has no sign, looks fire damaged, and grills the most tender beef seekh kebabs in the city. Crisp on the outside and melting in the middle, with a hint of mint – rumour has it they grind papaya into the meat. Get there early evening, as they sell out fast.
Pav Bhaji at Sardar Pav Bhaji,Tardeo - Pav is to Mumbaikars what rice is to south Indians. Mumbaikars prefer Pav with almost everything and Pav Bhaji one of the best and popular street foods in Mumbai.  If you happen to be anywhere around Tardeo, look for no place else, Sardar Pav Bhaji is the first place that every gourmet must visit.
Pani Puri at Elco Pani Puri Center, Bandra - Pani puri is easily the second best anytime snack after Vada Pav. Other combinations that one can try are bhel puri, Sev puri, and ragada pattice. Elco Pani Puri is famous for its variety and mouthwatering Pani puris.
The Bombay Sandwich at Sandwich Wallah, VT - If you ever wondered where the crowd from Xavier hangout, you would find your answer at this place. Famous for the variety of sandwiches, Sandwich wallah is a must visit food joint near VT.
Shawarma & Falooda at Shalimar - This isn’t really a street food joint, but the list would be incomplete without the mention of the famous Falooda from this place. Also, the Mughlai Chicken and rumali roti would make you want to stay for dinner. Paradise for Kebab lovers.
Chicken Tikka Rolls at Bade Miyan, Colaba - This is the ultimate food joint for all non-vegetarian gourmets. Located right behind the Leopold cafe, Bade Miyan has an absolutely lip-smacking menu with Chicken Tikka rolls, Baida roti, and Kheema as the favorites.
Bhel puri at Sharmajee's and Badshah's - A crunchy, cold, sweet-and-sour mix of puffed rice, sev, chopped onion and potato, and tamarind chutney. It has to be mixed and eaten on the spot, and most vendors will concoct their own variations.Try Sharmajee's (No 22) or Badshah's (No 11), amid the cluster of stalls opposite the Levi's Store, where rugs are spread out and bhel puri "touts" will bring it over to you.
Ice cream sandwich / biscuit at K. Rustom, Churchgate - Find an abundance of flavors ranging from Black currant to coffee, kacchi kairi, almond crunch, raspberry, strawberry, chocolate and many many more nestled between two wafers. One of the most legendary ice cream parlours of Mumbai, K Rustom has been serving hundreds of happy customers everyday and its fans just keep increasing.
Kung Pao potatoes , momos, and everything mexican and Asian at Kurries and Burries , Girgaum Chowpatty - Kurries and Burries is a relatively new Cafe at the Girgaum Chowpatty that is a  favorite among the students of The Wilson College. The fact that it serves pure Vegetarian food is not a disappointment at all because of the way they craft their food. A joint that serves a nice blend of Asian food to all kinds, it also has Mexican food and desserts. Worth a visit!
Paan at Mucchad Paanwala -  If you do end up finishing the list of all the street foods, then a Paan is must! And no other place in Mumbai even remotely comes close to Mucchad Paanwala. It is one of the favorite paan shops in Town.
Bun Muska and Chai  at Churchgate- You’d be surprised to see the number of people around these bun muska stalls at 3 AM in the morning. If you find yourself hungry at  night then Churchgate and Bombay central would never disappoint.
Malai Gola at Marine Drive- These Malai Gola stalls are crowded till 2 AM. Available in many flavors, these juicy ice candies are favorites when it comes to late night delights. You can stroll around and find these stalls near Islam Gymkhana, Marine drive. Always been a big fan of this simple yet delicious street food.
Besides all that is mentioned above, one can never leave this city without having at least  one VADA PAV.I have always been a big fan of this simple yet delicious street food.
P.S. - I'm sorry,I couldn't post pictures of them all because I couldn't decide which one is better than the other.
